If you're starting from scratch, I'd rather recommend to use 5.3.1 when it comes out (anytime soon, currently at 5.3.1.pre2).

Your system library loader isn't yet aware of the net-snmp libraries you've installed. On Linux, you probably need to run "ldconfig" as root.
