Hi ,
We are using Net-SNMP 5.3.0.1 version. We are also using snmptrapd to receive traps.
But we are observing that snmptrapd is taking 50% of the CPU time.
Below are the configuration file entries.
###################################################################################
#format1 FORMAT
#format2 FORMAT
#format2
"%02.2h:%02.2j TRAP%w.%q from %A"
#NOTIFICATION Processing
#
#forward
OID|default DESTINATION
#Uncomment the below line and edit it to reflect TRAP
receiver for EM alarms
forward default test-machine
disableAuthorization yes
###################################################################################
If we
run it like >snmptrapd , CPU usage is going up to 49%.
If we run snmptrapd in the foreground like
> snmptrapd -f -Le -d, then snmptrapd is taking 0.2 to 0.3 % of CPU time.
Why snmptrapd is taking too much CPU time if we run it in the background ?. Can any point us what is the problem.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Sailaja
