It's probably worth trying with the upcoming 5.3.1 code.
I'm slightly out of touch with the details of exactly what's been
happening with this software recently, but a lot of patches and
bug fixes have been applied since the 5.3.0.1 release, so it's
not impossible that this problem may have been addressed already.
