yeah, it does work, thanks.

what's the minimal set of directives when running snmpd as a agentx subagent?
i found some directives can not be recognized by snmpd running as a agentx 
subagent.

just these directives:
        agentxPingInterval NUM
        agentXSocket [<transport-specifier>:]<transport-address>[,...]
        agentXTimeout NUM
        agentXRetries NUM

right?

ps: a literal error in snmpd.conf manual,  it is "agentxPingInterval"
but not "agentPingInterval". i was puzzled  unitl i see the correct spelling 
in agent_config.c.
