Yes, it is. But you need to use the "full" access control directives, not the simplified "rocommunity" style. See the snmpd.conf(5) man page or the FAQ for full details. As I said, this has been fixed in later versions of the software. But if you're using 5.1.x, then you'll have to do it the hard way.
