I just posed a resolution to this the other day
You must enable perl-modules during configure
./configure - -with-perl-modules
Make and try again

Hello all,
I tried using mib2c for code generation. I get the following error
ERROR: You don't have the SNMP perl module installed. Please obtain
this by getting the latest source release of the net-snmp toolkit from
http://www.net-snmp.org/download/ <http://www.net-snmp.org/download/> .
Once you download the source and
unpack it, the perl module is contained in the perl/SNMP directory.
See the README file there for instructions.
I have already done the installation of perl using /net-snmp/perl make
install
Do i need anything else. ?
Using version 5.4 of net-snmp
