I have succesfully updated the buildroot.uclibc.org net-snmp makefile
from v5.1.2 to v5.4 running on an embedded powerPC. You may be able to adapt the buildroot makefile to use with uclinux. If you are unfamiliar with buildroot this is an extract from the buildroot website: "Buildroot is a set of Makefiles and patches that makes it easy generate a cross-compilation toolchain and root filesystem for your target Linux system using the uClibc C library.
