Hi Dave, Thanks for your response. Subagent was busy responding to snmpwalk (which comes as getnext requests) till timestamp of Apr 5 18.36.56.098. SNMPD stopped responding from timestamp Apr 5 18:36:57 for all the mib objects (owned by itself and subagent). However, SNMPD was responding to subagent ping requests. The ping interval was configured as 1 second.
We did not see this problem if subagent is not started. Please help us in identifying the problem. Thanks & Regards, Suresh. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Dave Shield Sent: Monday, April 23, 2007 8:32 PM To: Pamidipati Suresh-G20238 Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: SNMPD not responding sometimes even though it is up and running On 18/04/07, Pamidipati Suresh-G20238 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > We are using Net-snmp-5.2.2 as master and subagent. How busy is the subagent? Is it mostly handling requests for information, or generating traps, or a mixture of both? Do you see the same problem if the subagent isn't started?
