Hi ,
we are new to net-snmp,we need help in resolving two issues.
1. On RHEL3 64 Bit (default netsnmp version 5.0.9).
We are running snmpd(5.0.9), subagent(i e example-demon).snmpwalk
produces the following output
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public localhost
NET-SNMP-EXAMPLES-MIB::netSnmpExampleSleeper
NET-SNMP-EXAMPLES-MIB::netSnmpExampleSleeper = No more variables left in
this MIB View (It is past the end of the MIB tree)
while running the same subagent with netsnmp5.3.1 snmpd on same machine
with the same config files it produces the following output.
snmpwalk -v 2c -c public localhost
NET-SNMP-EXAMPLES-MIB::netSnmpExampleSleeper
NET-SNMP-EXAMPLES-MIB::netSnmpExampleSleeper = 200
please help us in getting our subagent working with netsnmp 5.0.9
2. On solaris10 X86 ( default netsnmp5.0.9)
When we start any subagent and we run an snmpwalk command we don't get
any mib variable information (instances). But when we
restart the snmpdx we start getting mib variable information.
We have gone through the snmpdx man page, we could not understand much.
Can anybody please help us understand it.
