Does AES encryption work with net-snmp.5.2.2 ???

I can get valid info from an net-snmp v3 agent using "snmpget -v3 -x des
-X secret", but if I use "-x AES" the agent responds with "Decryption
error".

Is AES known to work with a 5.2.2 agent?
Maybe there is an issue with the command line apps? I've tried a 5.4.1
snmpget and got the same error.

Are there any special commands or configure parameters I need to get AES
to work properly?
I'm using the following configure options.

    $ ./configure --enable-shared=yes --with-logfile=/var/log
    --with-persistent-directory=/var/net-snmp
    --with-copy-persistent-files=no --with-default-snmp-version=3
    [EMAIL PROTECTED]
    --with-sys-location=The/Internet
    --with-openssl=/path/to/repo/openssl/usr/lib/..
    --with-enterprise-oid=nnnn
    --with-enterprise-notification-oid=.1.3.6.1.4.1.nnnn.3.1.1.3.1
