The problem of counter64 values not showing up has been discussed several times before, but in the majority of cases it has been solved by using snmp v 2c instead of 1 .
Nevertheless I can't get it running. I'm using Solaris 10 X86 (11/06) on an opteron-based machine. NetSnmp verison 5.0.9 is included there. I've tried to catch the counter64 values: /usr/sfw/bin/snmpwalk -v 2c -c public localhost | grep -i Counter64 But never get any result back. I've tried the 64 bit snmd located at /usr/sfw/sbin/64/snmpd too, but still no luck. Then I stopped the original (solaris-included) snmpd and fetched a 5.3.1 from blastwave.org. Nothing changed. There was an issue like this before, but no final statement: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=4522AB47.6070004%40arlut.utexas.edu I' ve opened a call at Sun and they told me it will be fixed when they will change to netsnmp 5.4.1 . So finally, I've built the 5.4.1 from source (32 bit), but the result remains the same. No counter64. The is also a bug reported at http://bugs.opensolaris.org/view_bug.do;jsessionid=deb872423163030a4b52d081ff3?bug_id=6405447 Is the issue specific to Solaris? Any clue? regards, Frank ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Check out the new SourceForge.net Marketplace.
