You need 5.3 or later for the "tdata" helper. The 5.2.x version of mib2c.table_data.conf uses a different table helper (and doesn't include the cache support) See http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/net-snmp/Debian_Etch/i386/ for more recent versions.
