You seem to be mixing two installations. The "snmpwalk" command looks like part of the Net-SNMP provided distribution (or else you've compiled this yourself). But you've also said that you have installed RedHat-provided RPMs. Mixing things in this way will only lead to major confusion. Please remove *ALL* installations of Net-SNMP from your system, and start again. Install *ONE* binary distribution (probably the RedHat one), and try again. If you've only got one set of binaries, then things should work OK. I suspect that most of your problems stem from the fact that you've got two different installations, and they are confusing each other. (and you!)
