1) $snmpget -v 1 -c public localhost   sysUpTime.0

DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (21168) 0:03:31.68

2)$grep  snmp  /etc/hosts*

/etc/hosts.allow:snmpd:ALL

3) $cat /etc/hosts.allow

#

# hosts.allow This file describes the names of the hosts which are

# allowed to use the local INET services, as decided

#               by the '/usr/sbin/tcpd' server.

#

ALL:PARANOID:deny

sshd:ALL

snmpd:ALL

ALL:ALL:DENY

3)$snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost versiontag

End of MIB

But its working fine with remote host.
