  Understood, but since I'm generally clueless about how agent
configuration is handled internally, "tweaking" (i.e. maintaining)
net-snmp code would end up eating quite a bit of my time currently
budgeted for actual paying work. ;)

  I welcome the opportunity for active participation as a coder but I
have more to learn first, and that will have to take place on my own
time.

  If our features require agent tweaks I will certainly submit them to
the coders group for inclusion consideration.  net-snmp has given me
good mileage and it would be nice to add something of my own there.
