Hello fellow net-snmp users,
I'm new to SNMP (and net-snmp). I want to write a subagent which will be
responsible for several mibs. The subagent will use a proprietary common layer
api to manipulate the mibs values. The subagent will be used a pass-through
layer.
My questions are:
How do I register my subagent with net-snmp without having to register the mibs
piece-by-piece and one oid at a time?
The master and the subagent have few common mibs. how do I make the master
agent forward the requests for those mibs
to the subagent?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of making my subagent a master agent?
I read many of tutorials including example-deamon.c. All of the examples handle
either a single OID or single simple mib.
