Various objects in the ipRouteTable have a *maximum* access of read-write. It simply doesn't include any code to handle SET requests. I'm not sure whether the more recent ipCidrRouteTable includes SET support or not, but it's probably worth a try. Make sure you are using the most recent release for best results.
