Various objects in the ipRouteTable have a *maximum*
access of read-write.   That doesn't mean that every
agent necessarily implements them as such.

You haven't said which object, but it seems clear that
this particular object *has* been implemented as writeable.

The original route implementation was read-only.
It simply doesn't include any code to handle SET requests.

I'm not sure whether the more recent ipCidrRouteTable
includes SET support or not, but it's probably worth a try.

Make sure you are using the most recent release for
best results.
