OK, Thanks anyway! Then I just wish for it to get implemented in the future. It would be nice to be able to use this as a proxy for example to secure traps from equipment only supporting community based "authentication". Also a way to be able to make it possible to use islands of equipment whose community can be updated locally while still being able to forward the traps to a central location. I have added this feature request as a bug on Sourceforge, hope that this is the correct way to beg for a fix... Best regards Roger

No. I quick look at the code confirms my immediate recollection, that the forwarded trap is sent out using the same version and administrative information as the incoming trap. It would be a reasonably obvious extension to the "forward" directive to support trapsess-style option parsing, but that's not currently present.
