The SNMP agent does not listen for traps. That is the purpose of "snmptrapd". The SNMP agent will listen for GET* and SET requests. It may *send* traps (which seems to be working), but it won't listen for them. If you want to receive traps on your local box, then you must run snmptrapd there.
