Hello all.

I have the net-snmp agent working fine on a number of windows 2003 servers.
However, I cannot get it to work on windows server 2008. I have the
same configuration as regards net-snmp and the windows snmp service
(which is installed but disabled as per docs). However, doing the
following:

snmpget -v 3 -u username-l authNoPriv -a MD5 -A <password> localhost
sysDescr.0

produces

SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = No Such Object available on this agent at this OID

on Windows 2008. On Windows 2003 the above command returns the correct
results.

Does anyone on here run net-snmp on Windows server 2008? If so, is
there anything special one has to do for that OS?

Thanks in advance for any help,
