The "password" used in net-snmp is based upon the key localization
algorithm as described in section 2.6 and appendix 2 of RFC 3414, which means
that it is not a simple MD5 hash, so what you're trying won't work.
If your user is secretive about thye password, I would suggest setting
the initial password to some semi-secure password like "Test1234" and pointing
them to the snmpusm manpage so they can change it to whatever they prefer.
