Hello,
The Net-SNMP versions above 5.4 (5.4.2.1 & 5.5) the following
observations made on functionality of snmptrapd.
By default process snmptrapd opens a file descriptor (fd) in RW format
for console log file in versions 5.4.2.1 & 5.5 and traps are writing in
to the console log by default and the option -t while starting the
snmptrapd to restrict process not to write to console log is also not
working.

Can you please let us know how to disable this feature of writing the
traps into console log as well as the opening of file descriptor (fd) on
console log?
Does this functionality of snmptrapd is intended or is it a bug? If it
is a bug, please let us know the bug id to track it for the
solution/patch which solves the error.
