Yes - you can embed a simplified SNMP agent within P1,
by making it an AgentX subagent.   AgentX is essentially
a simplified version of SNMP, without much of the administrative
overheads.

   This is precisely the role that AgentX was designed to fill.
Why are you so reluctant to use it?
