What do you mean by "trick it"?

It should be possible (in principal) to take the
relevant parts of the current IP-MIB implementation,
and compile this into a 5.0.x-based agent.
That ought to provide the missing information.

But I have no idea how much the code under
'agent/migroup/ip-mib' might rely on other changes
to the agent framework, that have been applied
in the last six years.

   You can try this if you like, but you'll be on your
own, I'm afraid.  We dropped support for the 5.0.x
line in 2006.
