One possibility might be that the underlying system doesn't have a default route, as Tarun suggests. Personally, I find that somewhat unlikely. Another possibility is that the access control is configured too tightly, so that you're not allowed to access this table. Try walking other parts of the MIB tree - how much can you access? A third possibility is that you made an error when copying the ipDefaultRouterTable code from the 5.5 source tree back into the 5.4 one. But you haven't given *any* details about how you did this - what files you copied, how you re-compiled the agent, or anything - it's impossible to tell. If you require assistance, you *must* give us something to work with. Saying "it doesn't work" without some hint as to what you've done, is worse than useless.....
