And I have run gmake install as root user only [ uid=0(root) gid=0(root)
] . I have gone through instructions and builded accordingly .

But still mib2c gives ne the error stating " ERROR: You don't have the
SNMP perl module installed. Please obtain
this by getting the latest source release of the net-snmp toolkit from
http://www.net-snmp.org/download/ . Once you download the source and
unpack it, the perl module is contained in the perl/SNMP directory.
See the README file there for instructions. "

Regards,
Jithin

Is there a good reason for choosing an outdated net-snmp version for a
new installation?

What's the output of "cat configure-summary" in the build dir?

Did you run "gmake install" as root?

Please see http://www.net-snmp.org/docs/README.solaris.html for
additional hints.
