Hello
I'm facing a problem with net-snmp V5.4.1, compiled from source. Same
compiled binaries is installed on 50 AIX 6.1 servers. All servers have
the same TL/SP level, and from my point of view, configured in the same
way. On six of the servers, I get a message saying ": No such file or
directory" from the snmpd daemon. The message repeats itself as fast as
it can. I will explain how I get the message.
I start snmpd without forking the proccess.
>From my client, I run snmpwalk on "HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorage".
Snmpwalk returns all filesystems that I have on my server, but after the
last filesystem is returned, snmpwalk waits a moment and then returns
"Timeout: No Response from <my server>". I have verified on the server
that there is no "strange" filesystem after the last one that is
returned with snmpwalk. Everything looks fine. I use df, mount and lsfs
for this. All looks good.
To verify what the server is actually doing when I get the ": No such
file or directory" error, I started snmpd with truss. This is a part
what I get returned (last two working filesystems, and then when it
fails)

Have anybody else seen this problem before, and if so, is there a simple
way to fix it?
