Hi All
I am trying to set an oid with a IP address with no luck so far.
The OID is 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.2.1
My snmpset command is
snmpset -v2c -c NE 192.168.101.3 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.2.1 s
61.246.208.125
I get the following error message
Error in packet.
Reason: inconsistentValue (The set value is illegal or unsupported in some
way)
Failed object: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.42.1.2.2.1.2.1
The oid syntax expects an IP address as an Octet String. I even tried using
the hex string of this IP 3D F6 D0 7D, both with quotes and without. Nothing
seems to work.
Can anyone tell me as to where am I going wrong?
Regards
Roycey
