all,
seems that net-snmp has an issue with IfTable
if OpenVPN-Client is installed on same Solaris10 box:
Install base:
- net-snmp v 5.4.2.1
- OpenVPN Client v 2.0.9 sparc-sb-solaris2.10 [SSL]
If both binaries are running:
user_abc 24127 1 0 13:09:34 ? 2:31 /opt/openpkg/sbin/openvpn
--daemon rgviClient --log-append /opt/openpkg/var/ope
and:
user_abc 24351 1 0 13:09:44 ? 0:02 /opt/openpkg/sbin/snmpd -Lsd
... there is no chance to access the IfTable (OID = 1.3.6.1.2.1.2); any
snmpwalk-command won't respond to snmp-get.
... but if OpenVPN-Client is not running, then we have proper responds:
user_...@hostname $ nhSnmpTool -c scsC8Unsc09O0p -n -i -a 164.128.19.140 -v2c
# 164.128.19.140:1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.1 = 1
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1.2 = 2
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2.1 = lo0
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2.2 = e1000g0
1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.3.1 = 24
1.3.6.1.2.1.2. ...
...
[ *) nhSnmpTool is a MIB-walk utility from CA-eHealth ]
For me it seems that OpenVPN is blocking requests to the IfMIB or IfMIB is
corrupted by OpenVPN because of the tun0 - Interfaces created by OpenVPN.
Has anyone had the same behaviour?
Is there relief somewhere?
With another net-snmp version?
many thx,
AndyScAn
