Hello, my name is Adrián Campa. I write you from Spain. I've got a problem with setting Mib objects. I can set objects of the system folder, but of any other folder I cannot. The answer always is Generic Error, and index error 1. I've read in the documentation the next form to configure the snmp agent (I'm working in Ubuntu 10.04):

/Do you want to allow SNMPv1/v2c read-write community access (default = y):

Configuring: rwcommunity
Description:
  a SNMPv1/SNMPv2c read-write access community name
    arguments: community [default|hostname|network/bits] [oid]

Enter the community name to add read-write access for: private
The hostname or network address to accept this community name from
[RETURN for all]:127.0.0.1
The OID that this community should be restricted to
[RETURN for no-restriction]: RETURN/

So if I configure the write community in this way, I hope to set any read-write object in the MibII, but I'm only allowed objects from the system folder. I was trying to change, for example, the field ifAdminStatus and down a if (set with the number 2) and I couldn't with this agent configuration and other different I tried.

How can I set all the read-write fields? How should I configure the agent?

Send me please an example and the codec to configure the agent.

Thank you very much.
