I've seen this error come up in my early builds/tests with net-snmp (running on a MIPS board). In my case, I needed to set the library paths correctly too. (Took me about 2 days to figure it out...!) I've got no familiarity with your system, but if you've installed your compiler using the default settings, is there any need to explicitly export CC and CLFAGS ? Perhaps you could try the "./configure" step without the exports? Curious, Abraham V.
