The access control settings will be found in the file 'snmpd.conf',
and will typically take one of two forms:

either one (or more) of the group of directives
   rocommunity, rwcommunity, rouser and rwuser

or a combination of the directives  com2sec, view, group and access


The simplest approach by far would be to start with an snmpd.conf
file containing "rocommunity public", and build up from there.


If you're still confused, try posting the snmpd.conf files from the
two systems, and we'll try to help.
