Hello, I would like to overwrite the writable systemGroup OID's in order to set default names and reset the values. sysName should be the same like the hostname from a linux system. If i set these OID's within the snmpd.conf the OID'S only can read. I thought i can overwrite the OID's within my own mib but it is not possibe because i've got the message 'duplicate registration: MIB modules mibII/sysName and sysName (oid .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5).'
I use the default snmpd an wrote an shared object with specific mib modules as well as with writable systemGroup OID's. How it is possible to overwrite the systemGroup OID's sysContact, sysName sysLocation in usual way. Norman -- NEU: FreePhone - kostenlos mobil telefonieren!
