createUser guest SHA password

Even adding authNoPriv as above seems to make no difference. It works if 
set to MD5 rather than SHA. I'm wondering if my OpenSSL has been 
built/installed correctly as Net-SNMP needs openssl for SHA but not for 
MD5.

Has anyone any ideas why SHA won't work?
