Hi all,
I have a problem with the change of the passwords. The process is: - I have
two files. The persistent file and the file with human-readable file - When
I want to change the engineID, I remove the persistent one and launch the snmp
daemon only with the human-readable. Then the persistent file is re-generated
  - The problem is that the persistent file has not been re-generated in the
same way and the lines usmUser has not the same format. I know that the
encription should be different after changing the engineID and it is. This is
not my worry, but the format, because the new usmUser lines does not include
the engineID in hexadecimal. However everything works fine, except one thing.
With the new persistent file I´m not able to change the password of the user
$user with the command"snmpusm -v 3 -u $adminUser -l authPriv -x DES -X
$adminPassphrase -a MD5 -A $adminPassword $IP:$Port -Ca passwd
$current_password $new_password $user"Note that this command worked before
re-regenerating the persistent file
Thanks in advance
