Try adding the line “doNotRetainNotificationLogs yes” to snmpd.conf file.
If you compile the NetSNMP with NOTFICATION LOG MIB included, all the traps sent out will be saved with agent and the memory will be held as long as agent is alive. By adding the above line agent will not store the traps.
