Try adding the line “doNotRetainNotificationLogs yes” to snmpd.conf file.

If you compile the NetSNMP with NOTFICATION LOG MIB included, all the traps 
sent out will be saved with agent and the memory will be held as long as agent 
is alive.

By adding the above line agent will not store the traps.

Hi,

Iam using the Net SNMP version 5.6.1.1. When trying to send the trap/inform 
using send_v2trap() api, we can see around 20-30 bytes of memory leak for every 
trap/inform.

Iam trying to clean up as explained using snmp_free_varbind -

send_v2trap();
snmp_free_varbind().

But still no improvement seen-

It would be helpful if you can suggest any improvement on this.
