Hi all,

Has anyone had any luck setting up snmptrapd as a service in HP-UX,
using init.d? Can you share your configuration?

I tried searching for this, but Google is not giving me any breaks
today, and I cannot seem to find a search function on the email
archives for this list however hard I look.

I downloaded net-snmp as part of the Internet Express package provided
by HP, so the installation was very smooth. I can start snmptrapd
manually and log traps to file etc, so I just need to set up a new
init.d service so it will autostart. I've uncovered some bits and
pieces of scrips from various Linux distributions that handle it, but
of course HP-UX doesn't work (exactly) the same way as Debian.

Best regards,
Joel Hansell
