Hello All,
I am using snmpnetstat version 5.5 and our target system is using
another vendor's snmp protocol implementation which does not respond to
deprecated oids.
Though I use snmpnetstat version 5.5 and the TCP-MIB (RFC 4022) has the
tcpConnTable and its contents deprecated, snmpnetstat sends first
snmpbulkget on OID tcpConnState which is deprecated. The product responds
with the next non-deprecated OID which is tcpInErrs with the result it
looks like snmpnetstat does not work with this product to the customer.
is there an option I can set to not send requests to deprecated OIDs?
Here is what I get:
[fpeter@sandbox Snmp.5.5]$ snmpnetstat --version
NET-SNMP version: 5.5
[fpeter@sandbox Snmp.5.5]$ snmpnetstat -v2c -c <> -Ca <ipaddr of agent>
Active Internet (udp) Connections
Proto Local Address
udp *.*
>From the host running netsnmp-5.5, I get the netstat results which
indicates net-snmp ignores the status "deprecated".
Thanks in advance,
Fatima
