I'm not really sure if I'm doing ok sending this e-mail or I have to post my
question somewhere else, I'm new here, sorry any inconvenience. Anyway, I’m
doing
some tests using snmpv3 in my Ubuntu host for a university project, I need to
install NET-SNMP in my Windows 7 too. In the download section I downloaded the
of
5.7.2 source’s zip but inside there was not any .exe installer, but many
folders and files. Fortunately, I could find and download from sourceforge site
an installer, net-snmp-5.6.1.1-1.x86.exe; I would like to know if it has a
bundled support for snmpv3, also, if there is a version of this installer (or
the latest release) in 64 bits, because my Windows 7 host is 64 bits.

Finally, I
would like to know what’s the difference between the source files, binaries and
a .exe installer; because reading essentials snmp book during my researchs, I
read that version 5.2 had to compile a version if you want snmpv3 support. I’m
not sure to know what is this about.

Thanks so
much in advance.
