Francesco,
Looks like the type of object that your agent is returning is ASN_OCTET_STR.
Check your get snmp handler code and MIB definition for the object.
If you need us to look, provide both MIB definition and your agent handler
registration, and how it is returning.

Subject: SNMPget issue
Hi,
I have been using snmpget to get some reply bits from a controller and
usually it returns something like: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.xxxx.xxxx.xx.xx =
Hex-STRING: 03
(when the bits are 00000011)
but I have noticed that when the bits are 00001011
i.e. the snmpget SHOULD reply with: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.xxxx.xxxx.xx.xx
= Hex-STRING: 0b
it's ACTUAL reply comes out as: STRING: "♂"
Is this a known issue? Do you know what this could be due to?
