I’ve used the 5.7.2 pre-made ubuntu package with the ‘writing a subagent’ tutorial just fine.
I’m now using 5.7.2.1 built from source on solaris and having a problem. When I run: % snmpd -f -Lo -C —rwcommunity=public —master=agentx —agentXSocket=tcp:localhost:1705 udp::1161 I get the following error output: snmpd: illegal option — rwcommunity=public Usage: snmpd [OPTIONS] [LISTENING ADDRESSES] … (rest of usage message follows). running ‘snmpd -H’ shows that it recognizes the ‘rwcommunity’ directive. I assume that I’ve built the daemon in some way which isn’t allowing it to process the double-dash directives. I’ve looked through the ./configure options and nothing jumps out at me. thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download BIRT iHub F-Type - The Free Enterprise-Grade BIRT Server from Actuate!
