Hello, oh wise ones!
I'm using net-snmp-5.7.3; I have a whole set of nagios plugins I would
like to make available to snmp...
So, it looks like PASS in the snmpd.conf file would be the simplest route,
as
most of the plugins are not written in C.
I have written a MIB to describe all the plugins, their values, etc. It was
a fair
sized effort, but I've gotten it 'compliant' via a web-based checker.
snmpwalk
seems at peace with it.
BTW, one complaint I have about snmptranslate and others is that if your
MIB is in bad shape,
it tends to just quit silently. This was of great consternation to me,
because my MIB file
was truly in bad shape, compared to what it needed to be.
I am experimenting and have one plugin converted to snmp and it is working
via snmpwalk just fine.
But, my next plugin returns 31 values, and it pains me to think that my
script will be called 31
times to get all the values in the table.... is there some way to pass all
the values in a single call
via PASS?
