Hi,

I´m new to SNMP and I´m trying to implement it to monitor about 3000 linux
machines accross our network (please, due to political issues.

I´ve managed to configure a single machine, create de SNMPV3 user,
password, restrict the access to a defined VIEW, everything is working fine.

We would like to enforce the configuration on all machines, and as long as
I´m able to enfornce the SNMPD.CONF file (with the views, rouser, etc), I´m
facing issues enforcing the user and password to be the same.

BAsically what do we do here, we check if the file has the same hash as our
configuration file, if the file does not have the same hash, we enforce it
from time to time.

But, since the CreateUser command become a UsmUser with a particular code
to each machine, we are not being able to enforce the same user accros all
the network, since I cannot enforce a single file over all the computers.

Can someone help me on that matter? I just cant figure out how to solve
that :(

Regards,

Josef David S. Prado
