Hi,
I have built Net-SNMP version 5.8 without MibII and Host MIBs. Then I want to
allow only one host (10.9.31.100) to connect to my agent and execute requests.
In my conf file, I have the following:

rwcommunity public 10.9.31.100

Regardless the host I have entered in the rwcommunity directive, I can execute
SNMP request from any host and I still get the result of that request. I would
expect that it would only work from 10.9.31.100.

I have try to rebuild my Net-SNMP with the support of MibII and host and now it
works as expected: i.e I cannot execute request from another host than
10.9.31.100.

Is there a reason for that behavior? If so, is there another way to remove the
support of MibII, but still manage to validate the host of the incoming
requests?

Thanks,
David
