Hi I have net-snmp 5.5 and openssl 1_1_1d (light version) installed on my Windows 10 machine. I want to be able to send get/walk commands into an end node on our network for testing purposes.
I've been trying to follow the wiki tutorial at http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/TUT:SNMPv3_Options, but when I try the authenticated and encrypted example all I get is an "Encryption support not enabled/snmpget: USM encryption error" message. From this I'm assuming that my versions of net-snmp and openssl on my Windows machine are not talking to each other. The authenticated request example works fine. Is there anything I need to do to set this up? Have I missed something? I did see a webpage that said I had to use a version 9 of openssl as this was all that net-snmp supported, but I couldn't find the installer. Is this still the case? I don't want to build anything or make any changes to the net-snmp code. I just want to be able to download the binaries and set them up to work together.
