I thought it might have been my AppleShare Client software so I updated to
3.8.6 this morning - nothing changed. I'm running OS9.

This is what happens:

Jan 3 14:59:42 ans atalk: afpd startup succeeded
Jan 3 14:59:49 ans afpd[4082]: ans:AFPServer@* started on 10.208:128

It always says that the password is incorrect - even when I can log in with
the password using randnum/rand2num (and the same password as my regular
login which works too:

Jan 3 15:07:58 ans atalk: atalkd startup succeeded

Jan 3 15:08:37 ans afpd[4168]: login darron (uid 500, gid 500)

Any ideas?

I know the randnum scheme uses the ~/.passwd file in the users home dir -
does the DHX uam use something else?
