I´m running a server with two ethernet cards. From one side an NT-based
software deposits scans in a directory, which is accessed from the other
side from an iMac and assembled there into PDF-files.
Several times scans have disappeared, today for the first time the
finished PDFs as well. Only one person has access to the iMac, only I do
anything with the NT and linux servers. Although theoretically people
could access the linux server from other parts of our LAN, I don´t see
any traces of it in the log files (I´m no security expert :-( though).
This is what´s running:
SuSE Linux 6.0 (i386) - Kernel 2.0.36
1.4b2+asun2.0a18.2
MacOS D1-8.5 and Acrobat 4.0 on the iMac
Any ideas?
