hi ken, i don't think anyone is saying blockchain-art is the last straw. the blockchain exists, & blockchain-art can help us to understand & discuss it beyond the superficial hype. but the cryptopunks don't do it for me - i don't see any critical thinking here, just some kind of training game for new speculators. bail bloc on the other hand looks like an interesting experiment (social more than art) that could potentially have a huge social impact - https://bailbloc.thenewinquiry.com/
