Hi all, I wanted to let you know about an exhibition we have opening this week at Phoenix. Thanatos<https://www.phoenix.org.uk/event/thanatos/> is a collaboration between artist Eric Fong, perfumer Euan McCall and forensic anthropologist Dr Anna Williams, whose research on the 400+ volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted during human decomposition underpins the project. It's a multisensory installation centring on Thanatos, an original perfume that evokes the scent of a decomposing body discovered in a woodland. The exhibition runs from Fri 10 Jan until Sun 23 Feb.
On Sat 1 Feb, 1.30pm<https://www.phoenix.org.uk/event/thanatos-panel-talk-workshop/> we are hosting a panel talk and workshop exploring the forensic research that underpins the Thanatos with the team behind the project.
