it's a Yahoo hack
in fact Yahoo has some pages where they archive the most viewed or most emailed news pictures
the pages are different according to the country
So my intervention is quite minimalistic: the code on http://www.unbehagen.com/fascinum is a php code that fetches theses pages in real time, and bring back the pictures on a grid... there was no RSS at that time so I had to build a code that parse the HTML etc..
If you have IE you can see the images slowly changing in real time
